Happy Birthday, All Star!

Marcusbdaysoccerajhcopy

So is everyone ready for Christmas? I’m not. Haven’t even finished my Christmas cards or started shopping! Hey, I have plenty of time.. right? It’s only SEVEN days away!!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkk

So why am I not sharing a Christmas card?  Because I needed a birthday card! My son was invited to a birthday party tonight so I whipped up this 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 card for him to take.

Background is cuttlebug'd with the swiss dot folder. Colored Cocoa loves Soccer (digital) by Sweet ‘n Sassy with Prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless minerals. Cocoa is cut out of the circle and also cut out with a circle Spellbinder and then layered onto a scalloped circle Spellbinder. Entire layer is on dimensions. Did a faux layer, by using a black marker, around the digital Sports Sentiments. On the inside I wrote "Happy Birthday, All Star!" Added a ribbon tied in a knot at the top to finish off my card.

This is also for the Free for All 43 challenge of Christmas Break:

“Time to take a break from making those last minute Christmas cards. The challenge this week is to make a Birthday card. Big kid, little kid, your Aunt Sally... doesn't matter, just make it a birthday theme.”  The layout is from this week’s CAS97 – sketch inspired by Biggan.

This is also entered in the following challenges;

Totally Stampalicious – Clean and Simple
Craft Your Days Away – Punch it Out (punches/die cuts)
Cute Card Thursday – One for the Kids
