Welcome to Day Two of Our Craft Lounge Blog Hop Sneak Peeks! Please see The Lounge for pictures of the full sets and also for a list of the designers that are also sneaking peeks (which I have also posted below).
Today I am showing you Treasured Friend. I just love this set so I was very excited that I get to show it off. I made two cards using a few of the different images.
First card I used shows the 2 girls at the beach. What is exciting about this is the girls are individual stamps as is the square beach image and the sentiment! Colored in the sand, water and girls with copics. Then using Mudd Puddles Cookie Dough sand, I added just a little to the edge of the image to make it look more realistic. Used DCWV Travel Stack for the side strip to which I added some Shells also from Mudd Puddles! Of course I had to add some faux stitching to the background texture cardstock.
This card uses another image from the set, a girl playing in the sand at the beach. I used copics to color in the image and added Mudd Puddles Malibu Beach sand. I wanted the girl to look like she was really in the sand so I colored her again and popped her up using Helmar clear Zapdots. Did the same to the pail and sand dollars. Spellbinder oval and scallop oval were used. Used another piece of design paper from DCWV Travel Stack. Again I had to add Shells from Mudd Puddles to the card. And faux stitching!
Hope you have enjoyed the cards. If so don’t forget to leave a comment to be entered in the set I am giving away tomorrow. You’ll have to come back tomorrow to see what set that may be. (please make sure you leave me some way to contact you when you comment)
Now, head on over to Beth Silaika to see what she has in store for you.

A little word on the Mudd Puddles incase you are wondering: Just add the color and texture you want by using a frosting knife, artist brush or use one of the squeeze bottles. It will dry to the touch in about 1 hour and totally dry overnight. It's flexible after it dries and will not crumble or fall off your project. It's Scrapbook Safe. Of course you can’t use a frosting knife on the shells but a pair of tweezers worked perfectly to pick them out and lay them on the card.
Thanks for stopping by<
