Instyle Blog Hop

Check out my post below for some blog candy on this Black Friday!

Welcome to InStyle’s blog hop!  Hopefully you came from Kristine’s blog.  So our theme was favorite holiday song and make a non card project.  Well that is hard for me as I love them all so I picked one that went more with the image I used. Plus we are putting up our Christmas tree today so it is beginning to look like Christmas in our house!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
Take a look in the five-and-ten, glistening once again
With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas,
Toys in ev'ry store,
But the prettiest sight to see is the holly that will be
On your own front door.
A pair of hopalong boots and a pistol that shoots
Is the wish of Barney and Ben;
Dolls that will talk and will go for a walk
Is the hope of Janice and Jen;
And Mom and Dad can hardly wait for school to start again.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
Ev'rywhere you go;
There's a tree in the Grand Hotel, one in the park as well,
The sturdy kind that doesn't mind the snow.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas;
Soon the bells will start,
And the thing that will make them ring is the carol that you sing
Right within your heart.

Are you singing yet? I know I am. So for my project, I went with a lip gloss holder. Colored my image with copics and prismacolor pencils, added some sparkle by using smooch on the bulbs, star, barrette and her boots. Cut the image out completely and used dimension on the back.  Cuttlebugg’d the oval and the inside.

Measurements for the holder are as followed. Outside piece: 5 3/4 x 3 1/2. Score at 2 1/2  and 3 1/4 so that the middle is about 3/4 wide. The inside is cut the same but I cut mine down just a little on the top, bottom and sides.  To make the loop, I cut about 1 1/4 inch  lengthwise with 1/2 inch in between before I made the next 1 1/4 cut. (Depending on how big your item is, you may have to adjust the loop cut)

Now go on over to Kerry’s blog to see what she has in store for you!  And don’t forget to head to InStyle’s blog to vote on which project you liked the best and then leave a comment on InStyle’s blog for a chance to win a $25 goodie bag from InStyle Stamps!

     Thank you for stopping by!
