SMC challenge #6 – Male project

elephantbdaycopy

Challenge this week for Sew Many Cards is a Theme challenge. to make a Male Project for either adult or child.  Sponsor for the challenge is KLM Designs, KATHRYN MYHRE is the owner.

SPONSOR PRIZE PACKAGE -- 3 digital images of their choice from the KLM Designs store.  So please come play with us at the Sew Many Card Challenge for a chance to win. Must use a Sew Many Card Image which a freebie can be found at the Sew Many Cards blog.

I used this image of Eris with a birthday cake. I kept the colors masculine by using browns/greens & blues. I colored the image with copics, added sparkles to the flames with a gel pen. On the water drops, I added crystal effects. I used deckle scissors on the brown layers instead of using nestabilities (for the Try New Technique262 – Faux What?). Border punch was used on the design paper. Three little brads were added to the top corner. SketchChallenge 162 is the layout I used.. an old challenge but still fun to do.

Eris must be a great boy image...I used him too. I should have thought to use glossy accents to my Eris' water spray. Great card.
